VO(2)+PS(1) Multimedia Security in winter term 2024/25

• Good to know about: Media Data Formats and basics of cryptography.
• Contents: The lecture will cover the following topics:
  • Confidentiality (i.e. encryption) for images, videos and 3D data (pay-TV, DVD, Blu-Ray, selective encryption)
  • DRM: Digital Rights Management (Watermarking, Fingerprinting, ....)
  • Steganographie
  • Methods for integrity checking of visual content: Authentication Watermarking und Visual Hashing
• The lab-part (PS) consists of project work in small groups during the term (no weekly meetings, roughly bi-weely), final presentation of project results at the end of the term.
• Topics: Medien Forensik - SurveyImage or SurveyVideo and SurveyGenerell - e.g. deep fake identification, image manipulations
