NEXTSTEP and OpenStep are trademarks of NeXT Software, Inc.
NEXTSTEP is an object-oriented interface to the underlying Mach-kernel providing a rich and flexible class hierarchy. The base language for applications is Objective-C and application development is supported by NEXTSTEP applications providing visual design opportunities.
OpenStep is an operating system-independent subset of NEXTSTEP for implementations for Digital's OSF/1 and SunSoft's Solaris operating systems. Portable Distributed Objects (PDO) is the object model used with NEXTSTEP/OpenStep.

Delphi is a native code compiler, provides visual component-based design, and supports flexible access to various data base architectures. The underlying language is Object Pascal, which is an extension of the object-oriented Pascal found in Turbo/Borland Pascal starting with version 5.5.

Visual Basic is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation
Visual Basic is a program development environment with visual component-based design being based on an object-oriented Basic compiler. Visual Basic employs the Microsoft OLE/COM object model.
zApp
zApp is a trademark of Rogue Wave Software, Inc.
zApp is a C++ application framework which enables visual design of applications for a great variety of platforms.
