Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML)
With the extremely rapid growth of the World Wide Web (WWW) this language has become the most popular markup language for hypertext, as documents written in HTML are the presentation level basis for the information transfer mechanism in the WWW.
As a consequence of the increasing demand on quality and design of WWW pages, HTML extensions are created steadily with attempts to unify various extensions.

JavaScript
JavaScript is a scripting language which is a powerful, yet simple tool to further enhance the functionality, especially the interactivity, of HTML documents. Note that JavaScript is not a programming language and, therefore, has little in common with Java.
